The 2025 UM Brightlands Netherlands Talent Scholarship is available for master’s degrees in data science, agrifood, health, chemistry and materials, and smart digital services.
Your application must be submitted before February 1st, 2025. The value of this scholarship, which is offered by Maastricht University (UM), is full funding, tuition plus living expenses plus other benefits. This scholarship is available to Switzerland and non-EU/EEA countries.

The Brightlands are four innovation campuses located in Limburg, Netherlands. In the fields of chemistry and materials, health, agrifood, data science, and intelligent digital services, the Brightlands campus unites researchers, entrepreneurs, and students to develop and produce global breakthroughs.
Eligibility criteria:
- Applicants must be non-EU/EEA/Switzerland.
- Applicants must meet the requirements for an MVV visa and residence permit for the Netherlands.
- If holding a Schengen country residence permit, it must be valid until at least 2 September 2025. Otherwise, apply via the MVV visa from your home country.
- Applicants must not be older than 35 on 1 September 2025.
- Applicants must apply for admission to a participating master’s program at UM for the 2025-2026 academic year.
- Applicants must meet specific admission requirements for the chosen UM master’s program.
- Only one application is allowed; ensure all documents meet requirements before submission.
