The HAN Scholarship is now open to international students pursuing bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the Netherlands.
These scholarships are being offered by HAN University in collaboration with the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science, the Association of Universities in the Netherlands, the Netherlands Association of Applied Sciences, and the Dutch Organization for Internationalization in Education. This opportunity is open to international applicants who are not citizens of the EU or EEA.

The Han NL Scholarship (HAN Holland Scholarship) is available to candidates pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
For this grant, applicants will receive €2,500 throughout the first and second semesters.
The recipients will thereafter receive €2,500 per year for the following three years of their study.
To be eligible for the remaining years, students need continue earning the required 45 credits per year.
The Honors Scholarship is an independent initiative. Students are not required to submit an application for an Honors Scholarship.
The academic board of the study program will choose qualified students who have excelled academically during their first year.
The university starts paying €2,500 in the second year.
After that, students will receive €2,500 for every extra year of study.
The following students are eligible to receive the HAN Honors Scholarship:
Students who fulfill the minimal standards but were not given a HAN Holland scholarship.
To be eligible for this stipend in later years, students must earn 45 credits per year.
For HAN Holland Scholarship Candidates Pursuing Master’s Degrees:
- Candidates will receive € 2,500 in the first and second semesters, for a total of € 5000, as part of this scholarship.
- The Honors Scholarship is an independent initiative.
- Eligible students who have shown remarkable academic achievement in their first year will be selected by the study program’s academic board; students are not obliged to apply for the Honors Scholarship.
- This scholarship requires a one-time payment of €2,500 in the second semester.
- Those who were not awarded a HAN Holland scholarship are eligible for this stipend.
Eligibility requirements:
include being nationals of a nation outside the EU or EEAM and not having previously enrolled in a degree program at a Dutch university or applied sciences school.
Provide documentation showing you are enrolled in the full-time, English-taught degree program at HAN.
Prove that you have an IELTS score of at least 6.5, a TOEFL iBT score of 90, or a Cambridge Certificate (CAE or CPE).
