The 2026 Second KAAD Scholarship Program
Master’s degrees in all fields offered by institutions are eligible for the KAAD Scholarship Programme 2 2026. The deadline for submitting your application is July 20, 2026. This scholarship, which has a variable value of partial support, is offered by the Catholic Academic Exchange Service (KAAD). Applications for this fellowship are open to citizens of developing and emerging countries in Latin America, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Be able to communicate effectively in German.
- be a follower of the Catholic faith or another Christian denomination, particularly those from the Near and Middle East. Candidates from other religions may be given consideration if they are prepared to engage in interreligious discourse and are recommended by Catholic partners.
- Demonstrate your exceptional academic or research abilities.
- Come from a developing or emerging country in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, or Latin America.
- Have at least 10 months of study remaining at the time of application.
- Intend to pursue a Master’s degree, Diplom, Magister, or PhD at a German higher education institution.
- Show a commitment to going back and contributing to their home country or region once they have finished their schooling.
- be enrolled in a German university at the moment.
- Demonstrate a commitment to religion and society or a willingness to engage in dialogue with individuals of diverse faiths.
- You must be at least B1 proficient in German (or A2 proficient in English for degree programs) in order to take part in the KAAD educational program.
