The Government of Pakistan is offering scholarships to Afghan youth to increase their potential by providing 4500 students a top-notch education in a range of fields, such as computer science, engineering, medical, agriculture, and management, among others. The objective of this plan is to strengthen the bilateral relationship between Pakistan and Afghanistan and enhance people-to-people interactions between the two adjacent states. The 4500 Afghan Scholarship covers university tuition, living expenses, book allowance, and hostel fees.

Eligibility Criteria of Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarships:
This scholarship requires the following qualification:
Undergraduate (Bachelor’s):
- Education: Completion of 12 years of schooling (High School/Secondary Education)
- Age: 17–23 years
- Academic Requirements:
- General Programs: Minimum 60% marks
- Medical: Minimum 65% marks
- Engineering: Minimum 60% marks
Required Documents:
These documents are required for applying to this scholarship:
- Must not be receiving any other scholarship
- Medical and Engineering students must meet PM&DC and PEC admission criteria
Graduate (MS/M.Phil.)
- Age: Up to 35 years (non-faculty) / 40 years (faculty)
- Education: Completion of 16 years of education
- Additional Requirements: Must not be receiving any other scholarship
- Academic Requirements: Minimum CGPA 2.5 out of 4.0
Doctoral (PhD):
- Education: 18 years of education completed (MS/M.Phil.)
- Age range: 40 years for faculty and up to 35 years for non-faculty
- Academic Requirements: 3.0 out of 4.0 is the minimum CGPA.
- Extra prerequisites:
- Not being eligible for any additional scholarships
- The candidate’s MS/M.Phil. should have covered the same material.

Extra Information:
- After finishing their education, recipients are required to return to Afghanistan.
- Candidates with international degrees are required to submit an IBCC/HEC Pakistan equivalency certificate.
