Aga Khan Foundation Fully Funded 2025-2026 Scholarship Program is now accepting applications. Every year, the Aga Khan Foundation offers a number of postgraduate scholarship opportunities. This scholarship program is open to students from underdeveloped nations with exceptional educational credentials who have no other means of funding their further education. The goal of the scholarship is to cultivate successful academics and leaders and get them ready for work, primarily in AKDN.

Every year in June or July, the scholarship is awarded following a competitive application process that consists of a 50% grant and 50% loan component. Applications for this scholarship award are given preference by the Aga Khan Foundation for Master’s degree programs. However, only exceptional students who have received high marks from their instructors and who need a Ph.D. to attain their professional objectives will be given consideration for Ph.D. courses.

Conditions:

  • Include being a native of one of the following countries, being a citizen of those countries, being passionate about development-related subjects, and having no other way to pay for their further study.India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Syria, Egypt, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Madagascar, and Mozambique are among the countries that qualify, in addition to France, Portugal, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada.Candidates from eligible countries may apply if they live in a country where Aga Khan Education Services (AKES), Aga Khan Foundation (AKF), or Aga Khan Education Board (AKEB) offices are located.Preference will be given to applicants under 30.

Selection Standards:

The main criteria utilized to choose the winners are as follows:

  • Excellent academic standing Money is required for admission to a reputable university or course of study. relevance of the selected research topic to AKDN’s focus area.
  • The participants are assessed on their accomplishments and extracurricular activities, their capacity to succeed in a foreign academic setting, their ability to accomplish their goals, and their meticulous and well-organized presentation of their educational and career plans, in addition to the four previously mentioned factors.

Candidates should also possess a few years of experience in a related field.

Job training

Benefits Information:

  • The foundation exclusively helps students with their tuition and living expenses. The scholarship award will not pay for travel expenses. Support for Ph.D. program applicants will be limited to two years.
  • Assistance will be determined based on the needs of the participants.
  • Since candidates are also encouraged to make every effort to obtain financing from other sources, the amount requested from the foundation should be limited to a minimum.
  • Applicants who got a portion of the cash from other sources will be given preference.

  • The application process for this scholarship program is decentralized. Students can get the application forms from Aga Khan offices or Aga Khan Education Services or Boards in the countries where they now reside during the annual application session. The filled-out application must be returned to the company that sent it.
