The DARA Fellowship Program 2025–2026 is now accepting applications. The Danish Advanced Research Academy (DARA) offers a fully funded fellowship program in Denmark. Fellows will receive compensation for the duration of the program. Students will receive additional project funding in addition to their tuition expenses. In addition to giving the students financial support, the DARA Summer Fellowship will offer a conducive environment for conducting scientific research.

International students can apply for open PhD scholarships from the Danish Research Academy. Outstanding fellows will have the opportunity to work on projects in the technical, medicinal, and scientific sciences during the Summer Fellowship Program. They will become part of a PhD fellows’ academy that provides a variety of scientific fields. Fellows will take part in a range of networking and educational events. Promoting a diverse research community is the goal of DARA Fellowships in Europe. It draws gifted students from all around the world, regardless of their gender, race, age, nationality, ethnicity, or disability.

DARA fellowships for PhD students provide an opportunity to conduct advanced and innovative research. The global fellowships will promote collaboration and allow students to work with top professionals. The Open Fellowships Summer 2025 will support new and pioneer projects that have unique hypotheses, assumptions, and methodologies. Benefits of DARA Fellowship Program 2025-26 in Denmark:

  • Fellows will receive a salary of 1,575,000 DKK for the entire duration of their PhD.
  • Each fellow will get a project supplement of 750,000 DKK.
  • Tuition Fee of 240,000 DKK will be provided to cover PhD enrollment fees at the host institution.

Eligibility Criteria for DARA Fellowship Program 2025-26 in Denmark:

  • Applicants should be qualified for admission to a PhD program in Denmark.
  • Recent graduates and current students are eligible to apply if they fulfill the admission requirements of their enrolling university.
  • Applicants must have an agreement with a main supervisor at a Danish research institution.
  • Applicants can include co-supervisors from the same or other international institutions.
  • Main supervisors can only supervise one student at a time.
  • Applicants should not have started a PhD degree or already be enrolled in a PhD program.
  • All required materials should be submitted by the deadline.
  • Incomplete applications will not be considered.
