The 2025 Heinrich Boll Scholarships for International Students
All bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees provided by universities are eligible for the Heinrich Boll Scholarships in Germany for International Students 2025. The deadline for submitting your application is March 1st, 2026. This scholarship, which has a variable value of partial support, is offered by the Heinrich Björ Foundation. Applications for this award are open to all citizens. The scholarship is available to undergraduates, graduates, and doctoral students of all backgrounds and nationalities who demonstrate exceptional academic performance, strong social and political involvement, and a common dedication to the foundation’s core values—ecology and sustainability, democracy and human rights, self-determination, and justice.

Eligibility Criteria:
- has an excellent academic history.
- Demonstrate your proficiency in German (at least “DSH 2” or “TestDaF” level B2 for several apps).
- be enrolled in or about to enroll in a respectable German university, such as a university of the arts (“Kunst-/Musikhochschule”) or a university of applied sciences (“Fachhochschule”).
- Participate in politics and society and show an active interest in the goals of the foundation.
