The 2026 Dulcie Bowman Memorial Scholarship at the University of Auckland

Students pursuing bachelor’s and master’s degrees in any of the university’s subject areas are eligible to apply for the 2026 Dulcie Bowman Memorial Scholarship. You have until March 12, 2026, to submit your application. This scholarship, which has a partial financial value of up to NZD 5,000, is being offered by the University of Auckland. Applications for this program are open to women of all nationalities who have hearing difficulties. Eligibility Criteria:

  • Female student.
  • have a hearing impairment that a medical specialist has confirmed in writing.
  • be enrolled or intending to enroll full-time or part-time in the second or subsequent year of an undergraduate program, or in any year of a postgraduate program at the University of Auckland.
  • have at least a 5.00 GPA (or 4.50 for candidates from the Pacific and Māori populations).
  • A personal statement detailing the benefits of the scholarship should be submitted.
  • Maintain the satisfactory academic progress that their department or school has set.
  • Make sure they follow all regulations and disclose any other grants, scholarships, or awards that are being given out at the same time.

Benefits:

A maximum of two scholarships worth up to $5,000 will be awarded annually.
