The 2026 IBS Young Scientists Fellowships
The University’s selected fields are eligible for IBS Young Scientist Fellowships 2026 for Research Fellow/Scientist degrees. You must submit your application by December 5th, 2025. This Fellowships, which is partially funded by the Institute for Basic Science (IBS), is worth up to KRW 300 million per year. Every citizen is qualified for this Fellowships.

Eligibility Criteria:
- The IBS Young Scientist Fellowship is open to all nationals.
- The applicant must be at least forty years old.
- Five years before the application deadline, he or she must have obtained a Ph.D.
- The selected candidate must relocate to one of the IBS Centers.
- The IBS Career Development Award (CDA) is open to YSF fellows.
- The research proposal and the letter of intent are evaluated as part of the selection process.
- Applicants must submit a thorough research plan along with a statement of intent.
Benefits:
- The fellowship may be extended for an additional two years, but its maximum term is three years.
- The annual budget of KRW 150–300 million includes a salary of KRW 60–70 million (up to KRW 150 million for theoretical disciplines and up to KRW 300 million for experimental domains).
