The Netherlands’ UM Brightlands Talent Scholarship for 2025
Master’s degrees in data science, agrifood, chemistry and materials, health, and smart digital services are all eligible for the UM Brightlands Talent Scholarship 2025. The deadline for submitting your application is February 1st, 2026. This scholarship, which covers living expenses, tuition, full funding, and other benefits, is being offered by Maastricht University (UM). This scholarship is available to Switzerland and non-EU/EEA nations. The four innovation campuses known as the Brightlands are situated in Limburg, Netherlands. The Brightlands campus brings together entrepreneurs, researchers, and students to develop and generate worldwide innovations in the domains of chemistry and materials, health, agrifood, data science, and smart digital services.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates cannot be from the EU, the EEA, or Switzerland.
- Candidates must meet the requirements for both an MVV visa and a Netherlands resident permit.
- Your residency permit from a Schengen nation must be valid until at least September 2, 2026. If not, use the MVV visa to apply from your native country.
- Candidates must be older than 35 on September 1, 2026.
- For the academic year 2026–2027, candidates must apply for admission to one of UM’s participating master’s programs.
- Certain prerequisites must be met for admission to the chosen UM master’s program.
- There can only be one application, therefore before submitting it, be sure you have all the required documentation.
