The University of Alberta Graduate Recruitment Scholarship for 2026
Master’s and doctorate degrees in courses offered by the institution are eligible for the institution of Alberta Graduate Recruitment Scholarship 2025. The deadline for submitting your application is May 28, 2026. This scholarship, which has a partial grant of CAD 5,000, is offered by the University of Alberta in Canada. Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates should be admitted to a doctoral or thesis-based master’s graduate degree program by the department or transferred from a master’s to a doctoral degree program.
- Students must be registered full-time in a doctoral degree or thesis-based master’s degree program and have an admission GPA of at least 3.5.
- Applicants must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or students on a study permit.
Benefits:
Scholarships will be awarded in increments of $5,000. The department may decide how many $5,000 increments a student is eligible for.

- Although nominations for GSA and GRS may be made at any time, they must be submitted by the applicable date.
- For students whose start date is May 1, 2026, the deadline is March 26, 2026.
- For students whose start date is July 1, 2026, the deadline is May 28, 2026.
- For students whose start date is September 1, 2026, the deadline is July 9, 2026.
- For students whose start date is January 1, 2027, the deadline is November 12, 2026.
