Applications for the Safe Haven Fellowship in the Netherlands are being accepted by NIAS at this time. A great chance for scientists, academics, journalists, authors, and artists is this fully paid fellowship program. For researchers who are in danger and find it difficult to finish their projects, NIAS provides a platform. This global scholarship will enable researchers to temporarily relocate and continue their autonomous research pursuits uninterrupted. The fellowship will begin in September 2026 and run for five months, ending in January 2027. The international researcher fellowship program will take place in Amsterdam, a city well-known for its rich cultural heritage, festivals, and museums.

People from a wide variety of nations and ethnic backgrounds will make for an interesting site. Grants and stipends will be provided as part of the fully financed program in Europe to help with living and travel expenses. Fellows will have the opportunity to take part in weekly academic seminars and a creative writing workshop. During lunch, which is served four days a week, they will engage in spirited discussions with one another. Participants in the five-month fellowship program in Europe will have the chance to plan professional workshops, cultural and social events, and public gatherings.

Fellows will have access to a variety of research facilities during the fellowship program in 2026, including cheap lodging and an office with a laptop, phone, printer, and internet connection. They will have access to the academic resources they need by using the library’s services. Maastricht University and the University of Amsterdam are two prestigious universities that NIAS has partnered with as official partners of this global fellowship program. The institute seeks to balance discipline, career stage, and gender when awarding the fellowships. Only people who are struggling to find work due to the effects of war or conflict are eligible for the program.
