The 2026 Connaught International Scholarship
The Connaught International Scholarship 2026 is available for PhD degrees in any of the university’s subjects. Your application must be submitted by January 20, 2026. The University of Toronto is the provider of this scholarship, which is worth CAD 10,000 in partial funding. All citizens, with the exception of Canadians, are eligible for this scholarship.
The Connaught International Scholarship for Doctoral Level Students was started by the University of Toronto as a cost-sharing program to help graduate units recruit and support top international students. Each recipient will receive a top-up scholarship, which will be paid in addition to the graduate unit’s regular funding package for the program.

Eligibility Criteria:
- be foreign applicants (Canadian citizens and permanent residents are not eligible);
- not presently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at the University of Toronto;
- have received or will receive an offer of admission to a full-time PhD program* with a financial commitment starting in September of the next academic year; and
- have completed the last two years of full-time study with an A-average.The
