A distinguished scholarship program, grounded in a competitive process, is provided by the Nailekhanim Foundation (Azerbaijan) to a talented female student, irrespective of her citizenship or national origin, who is committed to pursuing a post-graduate degree (Master’s or Doctorate). A non-profit organization called the Nailakhanim Foundation was founded in honor of Nailekhanim Isayeva, who was a co-founder of Khazar University and Dünya School. Nailekhanim was a well-known educator whose drive and vision influenced the growth of both organizations. The Foundation was established to honor her love of learning and dedication to it.
Eligibility criteria:
- Applicant Must be a female applicant
- Applicant must have an Outstanding academic record
- Applicant must have a Strong commitment to the chosen academic field
- Applicant must have a Passion for higher education and high-level academic research
- Submission no later than 1 June 2024 to admissions@khazar.org Deadline for Local Applicants (*Azerbaijan citizenship) 25 September 2024 (please put “Nailekhanim Foundation’ Scholarship Application” in the subject line of your e-mail)
Application process:
- Write a strong motivational essay* on the following topic: “Describe a situation or situations where you demonstrated or witnessed female leadership and how it made a positive difference”
- Possess the appropriate level of fluency in the English language to be able to conduct academic research
- Demonstrate proof of high-level academic merit, with a minimum A-, 90-92, or 3.7 (out of 4) of grade point average (GPA), or equivalent, depending on the grading scheme of the applicant’s previous university
- An essay is understood here as a short, analytic, interpretative, or critical literary composition dealing with its subject from a limited and often personal point of view (based on Britannica’s definition).

Successful applicants will receive a scholarship offers one content-based full scholarship (annual tuition fee, annual dormitory fee, a monthly stipend for one year, and one single economy class round trip- transportation costs to and from Azerbaijan)
