The 2026 Global Sporting Excellence Scholarship at the University of Western Australia
Bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the programs offered by the University of Western Australia are eligible for the 2026 Global Sporting Excellence Scholarship. You have until February 20, 2026, to submit your application. This scholarship has a variable value of partial financing and is offered by the University of Western Australia (UWA), Perth. This scholarship is available to all citizens. Sports scholarships are available from the University of Western Australia to deserving students who are players, coaches, or officials worldwide. World-class athletes, coaches, and officials who study with us will be given this enormous scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria:
- The University of Western Australia must have extended an offer to the candidate to enroll in either an undergraduate or graduate program.
- If not, the applicant must have fulfilled the prerequisites listed below in order to receive an equivalent qualification:
- minimum ATAR of 85.00 or required WAM of 65.00
- To be enrolled in an authorized International Academic Pathway (Articulation Program), students must have obtained a WAM equivalent score of at least 75.00.
Sports Eligibility:
- To be eligible for the scholarship, athletes must sign up for and participate in the sport of their choice in an athletic club affiliated with UWA, provided that UWA plays in the top domestic league.
- Coaches must register with and work as coaches for the UWA-affiliated athletic club in the student’s selected field of study where the scholarship was given.
- The student must register and serve in the WA State Sporting League as a sports official in their chosen field.
- To coach, officiate, or represent the university at national and international competitions, the candidates must be available whenever feasible.
Postgraduate Requirements:
An candidate must be applying for an approved postgraduate degree (by coursework or coursework and dissertation) in order to be eligible for the fellowship. Not included are the following:
- Doctor Juris
- Doctor of Medicine
- Dental professional
- Physician of Optometry
- UWA’s micro-credentials
Qualifications for undergraduates:
A candidate must be enrolled in an Assured Pathway course or pursuing an authorized undergraduate bachelor’s degree in order to be eligible for the prize. Not included are the following:

- A Secure Way to Get Dental Care

Postgraduate Honors
- WAM 98.00 plus AUD 12,000 annually
- WAM 75.00 to 84.99 to AUD 10,000 annually
- WAM 65.00–74.99–AUD 6,000 annually
Honors for Undergraduates:
- AUD 12,000 plus ATAR 98.00 annually
- AUD 10,000 to ATAR 90.00 to 97.95 annually
- AUD 6,000 to ATAR 85.00 to 89.95 annually
