Overview:
The Bassett Downs Endowment will provide funds for the Bassett Downs Scholarship for Zoology to support a research project based on field or lab-based work on native species in the fields of systematics, conservation biology, and behavioral and community ecology. Scholarships will be awarded every second year.
Eligibility for the Bassett Downs Honours Scholarship in Zoology:
- Applicants must have an exceptionally high level of competence in systematics, conservation biology, and/or behavioral and community ecology.
- Candidates should enroll in the honors Year of an undergraduate program offered by the Research School of Biology.
Selection criteria:
- The applicant’s academic record.
- The applicant’s high level of competence in wildlife, conservation ecology, and/or animal behavior is demonstrated through their work.
